Assignment #1

For this first assignment, we are tasked to do a compare or contrast essay.

We are given two film genres to choose from which is action (James Bond film) or horror (any horror film).

We have been taught to do this essay on our own and our lecturer will guide us through this assignment. It is very crucial that we know what to do and not stray from the objective as well as topic for this project.

Thinking creatively to do well on this assignment. It requires facts as well as our own opinion towards the essay whether it is a compare or a contrast essay. We have to approach the points in a creative way to make it interesting.

It is important for us to communicate with the lecturer if the brief given was not clear. Lecturer will guide us through the project and will advise to change or add a few things that are needed for your essay.

Assignment #2

For this assignment, we are tasked to do research on two different traditional cuisine restaurant. We have chosen Woo Lan Restaurant for traditional Chinese Cuisine and J Scoozi Restaurant for traditional Malay Cuisine.

For this assignment, all of us need to have discipline as we have to attend meetings and make sure the report, slides and videos are completed in time according to plan. 

Communication skills comes in when we had to interview both of the restaurant owners. If none of us has that skill, we would not be able to get this assignment done. Besides than communication skill between the interviewer and the restaurant owner, as a group we need to communicate with each other and give our thoughts, opinions as well as ideas to complete this task successfully.

As a group member, we have to participate on the process of doing this assignment. We must not rely just on the leader to get everything done. When the leader has planned a timeline for the particular assignment, we have to stick to it and make sure things are done according to plan.
